1981 Newport Composites established 1987 NB 301 Toughened general purpose resin introduced.
1990 Companies joined to form Newport Adhesives and Composites, Inc (NAC) 1996 NB304-1 Highly toughened epoxy resin introduced.
1990 Acquired by Mitsubishi Rayon Co. Ltd. 1997 NB321 high temperature general aviation epoxy resins introduced.
1993 Relocated to a new 150,000-square-feet site in Irvine, California 1998 NB308 Clear epoxy resin introduced.
1995 45% growth since NAC founded 1999 AL, Cu Metal mesh reinforced adhesive introduced as lightning strike adhesive.
1996 Increased plant production capacity 1996-2000 2000 WDE Epoxy towpreg introduced.

NB307 Toughen epoxy introduced.
2001 ISO 9001:1994 registration compliance 2001 FAA certification for NB321 resin system, WDE qualified for use in pressure vessel market.
2003 ISO 9001:2000 registration compliance 2002 NB301, NB307 qualified in UAV applications.
2003 Sales doubled since formation of NAC. 2003 LTC 4300 Low temp cure epoxy introduced,
